Due to holiday commitments and injury Reading played the game with 10 girls.  This initially didn’t seem to be an inconvenience, however after leading 2-1 ran out of steam in the second half, as Wimbledon finished strongly.

The opening exchanges were very even with chances for both sides.  Wimbledon scored first from a corner, however Reading responded well with MEL Saunders superbly volleying home Hannah Sheehan’s corner on 15 minutes.  Hannah shortly after put MILLIE Bilcliff through, who confidently finished to give Reading the lead.   Wimbledon equalized before half-time in an even first half.

The second half was less memorable.  Wimbledon played very well and were rewarded with 5 well taken goals.

Having struggled to put a team out, we couldn’t find the ground, the rain poured down all morning and the team was soundly beaten.  Apart from that everything was fine!
