Reading Girls Jets got back to playing football this week after playing only 1 game since 12th December!! They were quick out of the blocks and created chances from the start. Ali Cartwright was put through but pulled her shot wide and many long range efforts were collected by the Theale Keeper. Sophie Farrell made the well deserved break through on 25 mins with a thumping drive that gave the keeper no chance to make it 1 - 0. The second came soon after direct from a corner. Sophie Farrell whipped in the set play and Anna Rumbol ran the Theale defender back towards goal and straight in to the ball, sending it in to the net to make it 2 - 0.

The second half was much the same story with Reading Jets creating plenty of chances but they either could not find the killer finish or found the Theale keeper Jo Sandels quick off her line to clear up the through ball.
Alice Cartwright made the points safe after getting on the end of a sweet cross from Megan Herbert, finishing nicely from close range to make it 3 - 0.

Well done to all the girls and Vikki in goal for a clean sheet this week. The 3 girls at the back were outstanding this week with Sophie Gibbons, Tara Magee and Captain Sarah Thompson all putting in  a great shift. Jade Hearmon, Sophie Farrell and Anna Rumbol all look back to their old self and really worked hard. Hannah John and Zara Harper did well and played out of position to help out. Alice Cartwright and Megan Herbert always looked a threat to the Theale goal and I am sure the goals will come once they get a few more games under their belt.
