Reading Girls Jets were downed by a late, late goal to leave them wondering how they lost the game.
After an early penalty was awarded to Theale to give them the lead, Reading Girls woke up and started to play. They got a deserved equaliser on 15 mins but that was the end of the scoring for that half, somehow, as Reading Jets squandered chance after chance and missed the sitter of the season when they managed to push the ball wide from inches out. Theale worked hard and closed Reading down quickly, with few chances being created for Theale but holding Reading at bay for most of the half.

The second half saw much of the same with Reading creating chances but again lacked the extra yard to finish. They had one cleared off the line, a great couple of saves from the Theale keeper and hit the post but it was not going to be Reading's day and with a couple of minutes left a long throw released the Theale striker and she hit the ball first time past the Reading keeper.
