Reading Jets took nearly ten minutes to wake up for this game and found it hard to get in to their stride after not playing a game since the 12th December!! Thatcham took advantage and bagged a goal giving them a 1 nil lead early on. This proved to be the catalyst for Reading Jets and they hit back within minutes with a well taken goal by Sophie Farrell, after getting on the end of a through ball from Alice Cartwright. April Charlton got the all important goal to give Reading the upper hand after a breaking through and going one on one with the Thatcham keeper, passing the ball into the corner of the net and making it 2 -1 to Reading Jets at half time.

Alice Cartwright hit two quick goals in the second half to put the game beyond a battling Thatcham side. The first was a nice half volley from a superb cross from Zara Harper to make it 3 - 1 and the second was a nice run and finish to make it 4 - 1 and making the points safe.

Miranda Lane rounded off the scoring when she got herself in the right place to turn the ball home after a goal mouth scramble. Well done to all the girls for working so hard after 8 weeks off!!
