The captain for the day was Helen against her old team.
The clear blue sky and soggy ground the aftermath of Saturday’s heavy rainfall and force gale winds. The game is on to everyone’s surprise. 

Morgan tested early on and clears with her feet. Jemma turns in the box and pulls back for Livvie who shoots just wide. Goal kick is intercepted by Clara who beats a player and shoots low to score. Reading 1-0
Eloise replaces injured Sophie. Morgan makes a good save for a corner and the forward has a shot go wide. Nicole and Eloise link up well to supply a pass to Livvie who shoots wide. Clara shoots wide after a cross from April. Nicole wins the ball from a Bracknell goal kick and the shot dips under the cross bar. Clara has shot blocked and ball runs to Nicole who hits an unstoppable shot to score. Reading 2-0.

A Leah tackle gives Clara the ball then passes to Sophie whose shot from outside the box goes wide. Leah passes to Livvie then onto Nicole who supplies a great cross that is cleared. Jae wins a tackle at the back and passes to Clara who beats a player and keeper makes a good save. April wins the ball and passes to Nicole and shoots and loose ball falls to Jemma who scores. Reading 3-0

Helen nearly scores with her first touch but ball goes for a corner. Clara pulls ball back for Jemma to shoot. Defender blocks and Eloise pass finds Hannah who has a shot saved.

Reading start as they finished first half with Eloise having a long shot saved. Helen wins the tackle and passes to Jae who links well with Livvie who crosses and wins a corner. Corner comes in and the loose ball is slotted home by a solid strike from Jae. Reading 4-0.

Leah almost through on goal but the defender clears. Eloise makes a tidy tackle at the back to deny Bracknell. Livvie passes to Nicole who finds April in the penalty box who shoots low to beat the keeper. Reading 5-0.   

Straight away Nicole finds April again and her shot this time was saved to give away a corner. Livvie wins a free kick after a late challenge. Nicole floats ball straight at the keeper. Leanne sweeps well at the back to deny a Bracknell attack. Strong run by Jae to win a corner. April wins the ball on the edge of the box from a goal kick and calmly scores her second to make it Reading 6-0.

April beats two players on the wing and ball just runs ahead for keeper to retrieve. Nicole has strong shot palmed away by the goalkeeper who has been their best player today. Morgan runs off her line to deny a Bracknell attack. Eloise and Jae combine to set up Nicole who shoots over. Jae has a long shot saved for a corner. Eloise beats two players to cut in and blasted the ball into the net. Reading 7-0. 

Clara wins the ball in midfield and passes to Nicole who shoots to score. Reading 8-0.

 Player of the match goes to Hannah who demonstrated effort and enthusiasm of the highest order. Nearly scored in the first half and made one or two tackles which indicate her confidence is growing. Well-done Hannah.
