The captain for the day was Nicole.
Today was going to be a test for the bare 9 players of which 2 were not 100%. Helen and Eloise force the first corner for Reading with Leanne having a shot saved. Sophie has long range shot saved. Leanne breaks out of defence and passes to Clara who is tackled for a throw in. Nicole has a shot saved. April in goal today makes a great save to deny Frimley. Pressure on for Frimley as Sophie clears the ball for a corner. A break again from Leanne who passes between Clara and Nicole then shoots wide. Nicole crosses to Helen who adds pressure to win a corner. Frimley break this time and Jae tackles to concede a throw in. April is forced to come off her line to collect the ball.

Eloise and Nicole combine to win a throw in. Eloise finds Nicole and shot goes for a free kick. Clara sets up Nicole and shot is well saved for a corner. Good pressure from Leanne who forces the ball into penalty box, Helen passes the ball under the goalkeeper into the net to make it 1-0 Reading. 

Leanne has a shot from the edge of the box saved by the keeper. Leah combined with Jae to break up Frimley attack. Leah again with support from Helen sets up attack and Nicole shoots just wide. Clara has a shot well saved by the keeper who is having a great game. Jae headers the ball away, Leah blocks a shot, the ball is crossed a rolls through the defence and tapped in at the far post to make it 1-1.

Leanne goes on another surging run to win a throw in. Nicole pressure forces a corner. Sophie breaks up attack to concede a corner. April collects the ball from the edge of the box. Helen’s pass finds Clara who beats one player then passes to Nicole and shot is saved. Eloise plays ball down the wing for Nicole who crosses ball, which was just too long for Clara. Cracking tackle by Leah breaks up attack. Jae swaps position with Leanne in center midfield. Long ball from Leanne finds Clara who beats two players and shoots wide. Leanne concedes a corner. A great run by Jae who beats two players and the keeper collects the cross. Leah strong tackle sends Nicole down the wing and cross finds Clara who cuts inside and shoot’s to score. Reading 2-1

Frimley have a cross and April saves. Eloise plays a through ball to find Clara who has a shot saved and the ball falls to Nicole who blasts the ball into the net. Reading 3-1. 

April makes a save after a goalmouth scramble. Leah clears the ball to Leanne whose long pass finds Nicole. With 3 players chasing her down Nicole shoots to force a corner. April retrieves the ball on the edge of the box and kicks to Nicole. Ball falls to Eloise who passed to Jae and pass puts Clara through one on one with the keeper. Clara shoots to score again to make it Reading 4-1.

Player of the match goes to Sophie. After returning from sickness Sophie played the whole game and run her socks off. Defended well and even joined in some attacking play. Also had one or two shots that today were not on target but showed sign’s of the Sophie we remember. Well done.
