The captain for the day was Jae.

Gosport has the first spell of pressure that is absorbed by the Reading defensive line. Defence soon turned into attack with a through ball to Jemma who shoots wide. Jae makes a crucial tackle at the back to give away a corner. Morgan is asked a few questions early on and demonstrates good handling. Nicole has shot saved at second attempt.

Best move of the match so far started with April at right back who passed to livvie and then Jemma. Jemma finds Nicole who delicately passes to Clara who slides the ball under the keeper to give Reading the lead. Reading 1-0        

On the attack again Nicole bursts through the Gosport defence and the keeper makes a great save for a corner. Nicole corner finds Clara at the near post who shoots for the keeper to make another good save. Leanne and Jae combine well to defend a Gosport attack. April blocks to give away a corner. The ball comes in and the header is not cleared and ball drops to forward who shoots to score the equaliser for Gosport. 1-1

Nicole goes on a run and is tackled on the edge of the box. Jae throw in finds Livvie who passes to Nicole who shoots just wide. Morgan saves at second attempt. Livvie passes to Clara whose through ball finds Nicole, then using her trickery and pace runs half the length of the pitch to slot the ball home to make it Reading 2-1.

Leanne goes on a surging run to win a corner. Leah comes on to do a marking job on the Gosport midfielder who is causing a few problems. Leah passes the ball to Clara who sends Nicole through again but the shot goes wide. April makes a good challenge and passes to Nicole who beats keeper and shot hits the post for a goal kick.

Half time: Reading 2 Gosport 1 

Gosport go on the attack immediately forcing uncertainty in the defence to make it 2-2.

Eloise passes to Nicole who then shoots to force a save from the keeper. Morgan makes a save from a shot taken from the edge of the box. Then follows another shot that is spilled and Jae clears for a corner. Great run from Leanne who sets up Nicole who shoots wide. Jae clears the ball after a goalmouth scramble. Livvie goes upfront for Hannah. Great tracking from Jae prevents Gosport shot then Morgan collects. Clara comes on for Leah and forces a mistake to find Nicole who shoots over. Jemma finds Nicole again who has another shot saved.

Lovely one two between Livvie and Nicole wins a corner. Nicole takes short corner with Clara and the return pass is crossed for Eloise to rise like a salmon and loop a header past the keeper to give Reading what should be the winning goal. Reading 3-2.

The last attack was from Helen who runs from deep to beat two players before the whistle blows for full time.

Player of the match goes to Leanne who has made the surging run a trademark in her game. To one minute be defending and then turn the play into attack was important to the success of the team today. Well-done girls.
