Reading Girls Under 10's - won the game an impressive 7 - 0 with 3 goals from Charlotte Kemp, 2 goals from Erin Gennard and 1 goal each for Olivia Lee-Smith and Emma Hutton; Reading went in to the half time break 1-0 up and came out to score a further 6 goals in the 2nd half of the game.
The 2nd half of the game saw Ascot attack Readings goal on several occasions but they were unable to pull any goals back thanks to some superb defending by Lakeisha Driscoll, Zoe Witts and Jasmine Vickery-Callan; with some really good saves by the goalkeeper Jackie Hammond this all helped Reading maintain their first clean sheet of the season.
The final score did not do Reading justice as they had a few shots on target saved and Ella Sandles came very close to scoring several times with one fantastic shot chipped over the Ascot goalkeeper from just inside the crowded Ascot penalty area which unfortunately came back off the inside of upright far post.
The score line finished Reading Girls 7 - Ascot Utd Emeralds 0. The U10's team were amazingly again making it 2 wins in 2 games.
The Reading Girls U10's 'Player of the Match Trophy' - goes to Charlotte Kemp and for her amazing 'hat trick' Charlotte Kemp will also be awarded 'A Match Ball' at Wednesday's training session.
Thanks go to Ascot Utd FC management and players for hosting a great match.
Yet again a massive thanks to all of the U10's parents and family that attended as the support shown by each and everyone of them was amazing.
